On 6 October 2023, the INNOV-8-2-CREATE project partners from Galway University, Riga Technical University, ASTP travelled to Turin (Italy). Hosted by the local partner, Univeristy of Turin, they presented the project to local Knowledge and Tech Trasnfer professionals and stakeholders and discussed future steps, as well as details of the Tier Two Innovation Training.
At the beginning of the event, the partners and guests were greeted by Angelo Bifonne, the President of the Patent Committee of the University of Turin. Following his introduction, Emilia Sannino, the Innovation Specialist at the University of Turin, prestented on the Innovation and Internationalisation at the University, citing a success story of an innovative crowdfunding project - FundsTOgether.
The INNOV-8-2-CREATE was presented by Reinis Budrikis, representative from Riga Technical University, and the project lead, Kieran Ryan showcased the state of art of the Tier One Innovation Training, as well as statistics and key takeaways from the first semester of the project.
All participants showed enthousiasm and networked during the coffee break that follwed the presentations.
The afternoon was reserved for internal partner meetings: firstly with the new Advisory Board in an introductory online Q&A session, and then only with the project partners to discuss the timeline and details for Tier Two of the Innovation Training. After a full day of fruitful and inspiring knowledge sharing, the project partners agreed on future steps.
Save the date 28 November 2023, the start of Tier Two Innovation Training! The Training sessions will take place every week until February 2024 (with a break in December) and aim at instructing researchers, university staff, PhD students, postdocs and anyone else interested how to successfuly get their idea out into the world.
