In a bid to engage directly with the knowledge transfer (KT) community, INNOV-8-2-CREATE project partners from Galway University, University of Turin, Riga Technical University and ASTP organised their third face-to-face meeting during ASTP's Annual Conference in Seville, Spain. Renowned as a significant three-day gathering, the conference brings together KT experts from across Europe and beyond and provides an opportunity for participants to connect with their peers, explore new projects, best practices, and different organisational cultures.
On the conference's first morning, all partners got together to discuss and finalise the next steps for the forthcoming Innovation Office Impact Accelerator programme. Set to begin on the 1st October 2024, the training sessions shall mark the beginning of Phase 2 Tier 2 of the Impact Accelerator programme and will occur weekly until December 2024.
On the second day of conference, Grace O’Toole, Innovation Training Manager at University of Galway, and Liva Sturmane, Project Manager at Riga Technical University, brilliantly showcased the project to conference participants during a Knowledge Stock Exchange. Grace and Liva outlined the progress made during the project's second semester, including relevant statistics and crucial outcomes, with a special focus on the equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) objectives of the project. INNOV-8-2-CREATE aims, indeed, at supporting entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, especially women, on their innovation journey by delivering a transnational, transdisciplinary, pre-accelerator programme.
The presentation was a resounding success by raising awareness of the project aims and the success of the collaboration among the partners.
“INNOV-8-2-CREATE project’s presentation in ASTP conference was an amazing step further to make collaborations with other universities, partners, and companies. It was nice to see that a lot of countries are using these techniques in different ways to involve scientists, students, and researchers from all over the world.” – Irina Marinina, Project Coordinator at Riga Technical University, Latvia.
Stay tuned for more information, details, and registration links for the forthcoming Innovation Office Impact Accelerator programme!
A heartfelt thank you goes to our partners from ASTP for hosting this meeting and providing the consortium the opportunity to share about the project at the 2024 Annual Conference.
